Summer 2010 in Cornwall

The school holidays are here and the outh west is always one of the busiest holiday destinations in the UK, especially cornwall so here’s a guide of a few good tings to do when you visit the famous county:

Land’s End - Everybody knows about Land’s End but it really is worth it to experience the great views and to be at the end of the UK mainland.

The Eden Project – These botanical gardens are truly breathtaking and well worth a visit

Newquay – The tourist mecca of Cornwall still has it, you can take surfing lessons on Fistral beach then relax in one of the many bars in Newquay afterwards.

Gipsy Caravan Rental

Although this is in France, it seems quite a good idea to rent a completely different caravan…

iPhone 4G Sat Nav For Free

I though this may interest some of you, it’s a free Sat Nav app for those of you lucky enough to get your hands on an iPhone 4G…

Owners of the iPhone can now get their hands on a free sat nav application from Skobbler, the producer of video and audio navigation systems.

The system utilises the service offered by OpenStreetMap.

This is a navigation service available to all free of charge, which is based on a “Wiki” style interface that allows users to edit maps according to changes in circumstances and they can even add places of interest too.

When the OpenStreetMap software is combined with the Skobbler Sat Nav app, the iPhone user is getting a very sophisticated sat nav service that is completely free of charge.

According to Marcus Thielking, the co founder of Skobbler, those users that get involved in editing the sat nav, experience a real sense of achievement.
